Fashion Inspired Senior Pictures in Laguna Beach
The beach is so unpredictable when it comes to weather and photographing high school seniors. Although we are approaching summer, Isabel's senior session was very chilly. Lucky for us, Isabel was amazing. We not only photographed her senior portraits, but we also got to celebrate her 18th birthday with a super fun portrait session!
My very favorite part of the session was her slightly vintage Guess jeans! While cleaning out her closet, Isabel's aunt discovered some really fun outfits. Tucked away in the back of her closet was Guess jeans from back in the day and an adorable knit tank top. She showed them to her niece Isabel who immediately thought they would make the perfect outfit for her senior portrait session.
Isabel was super inspired by denim advertisements in the late 80s. So I swiped a few images from Pinterest and created a mood board for her session. It was super helpful to have these images on my phone, so we could recreate the poses on the beach.
Isabel was a total trouper! It got colder as the evening progressed and the waves were enormous. It was a little scary to shoot near the ocean, but she was up for anything.
Fashion inspired photo shoots are seriously my very favorite! I love to have a direction for the session and buy in from the model. And I absolutely adore the results of Isabel’s session. Here are just a few of my favorites! Enjoy….
